When it comes to head lice, nothing is fool proof. But, there are precautions you can take to help avoid them! The harder it is for them to grasp and hang on to the hair shaft, the harder it is for them to attach their eggs (nits). Therefore, if hair is tightly pulled back, it makes a louse's job that much harder!
Try the Tuck & Roll, the Bow Bun, the Double Bun, or the Crown! Have fun and get creative, see what you can come up with!
The Tuck & Roll:
This style is great for any morning, but especially when you are low on time. Pick out your favorite headband and while the hair is down place the band on top of your hair but where you want it to sit. Taking one inch sections tuck the hair up into the headband. Continue until all hair has been tucked! Pin any hair in place as needed. A great way to show off a fun headband!
The Bow Bun:
Braids and bows, is there anything little girls love more? This simple do takes no time to assemble! Simply part the hair down the center, french braid the left side, then secure at the nape of the neck with a hair tie. Repeat the same process with the right side. Tie a bow with the remaining hair on both sides, leaving a thin piece to wrap around the center of the bow. Secure loose ends with bobby pins. Ta-da!
The Double Bun:
Such a fun twist on a classic! Parting the hair down the center secure the hair into two highponytails. Twist one tail and wrap around the hair tie and secure with bobby pins. Repeat on the other side and that’s it!
This style is a little more on the trickier side, but oh so cute! Start behind the ear, and dutch braid along the hairline and nape of the neck. Continue braiding until you meet the beginning of the braid. Braid the remaining of the hair in a normal braid. Pin the tail of the braid along the rest of the crown to create a continuous braid. Now you have a style fit for a queen!
