Once the hair treated with Licefreee Spray has dried, does it need to be combed before washing?

Once the hair treated with Licefreee Spray has dried, does it need to be combed before washing? Or can it be washed and then combed out using the comb included? Due to the tangles in hair, I would prefer to wash and condition it first to make the combing easier, but I won't if that will compromise the process.
